Ok, Eric... Levy is a nice player...and he already has gotten me points this year...and Doral. He is young...so we will see a lot more of him the coming years. MIKE is not a bum...I even said that he COULD finish 2-1...and his match with Westwood was a good one...lost by one in the end...and he is spanking the crap out of Every now. That said...everyone earned the right being here and are good players....unlike some of the dregs that a few of you seem to try to shove off on me in trades...As if the 268th ranked player in the world who has one T38 finish as the apex of the past four months, is supposed to impress and inspire. ;p. There are three majors...another WGC event...and even next week...that MOST of these guys are playing in...so this is not the end all be all. Hell...I am as disappointed as anybody this week...not just with the quality I have...but recent history...past two years I have owned this event. So I get the frustration...but it is May 1st...look what Kaymer...Horschel...etc. did afterwards. People were down on Rose..KNEW he would quickly come back...why I was only considering 3 or 4 guys tops..and pushing for more...Hideki was one of them. Keegan has his moments...When he is going well...he is an elite player. One interesting thing...due to this schedule switch....wonder if those who DO go home after today...will be a bit better off for the a Players next week? Actually wondered this before this tourney begun...those final four guys you would think will be exhausted come Sunday night.

Yeah those that have to play all the way through Sunday will be tired no doubt. I over react somewhat but not totally. Illonen may not be a bum to you but ever since he has been on my roster he has been a total bust in almost every way. I never said Levy was a bad player but to me he is kind of irrelevant. I care about what players do when I start them not what they do when they are on the bench, a free agent or in the fantasy golf off season. I am happy with a few players on my roster but some of my top guns have really faltered. I am happy with Moore, Hoffman, Berger, Steele and was with Watney for awhile. I am ok with Piercy and Bae and now even Kisner is starting to play well. I am very disappointed with Bradley, Streb, Levin and Illonen. Of course now that I traded away Mahan he will get his game together. He sure is firing on all cylinders this week. Maybe for Keegan to break out of it I need to trade him. Knox hasn't been on my roster very long but I like his potential.

Only 5 Americans got to the round of 16. It's no wonder they struggle in the Ryder Cup. The American golfers just seem to struggle in match play. Even the top guys like Watson and Spieth couldn't advance as they lost to their European counterparts in the winner take all matches. This definately has some Ryder Cup de-ja-vu.

Here are the breakdowns of teams and with how many players they have in the top 16. The teams sitting at 5th, 6th and 8th in the standings are having the best week so far.
Enough Pars - 3 Off Course - 3 Weekend Hackers - 3 Great Scott - 2 Sub Seventy - 2 Sea Island Mafia - 1 Angry Birdies - 1 Back 9 Guy - 1 Sysiphus - 0 Grip it and Rip it - 0
McIlroy - Off Course Matsuyama - Great Scott Casey - Sub Seventy Schwartzel - Weekend Hackers Furyk - Off Course Holmes - Enough Pars Fowler - Weekend Hackers Oosthuizen - Weekend Hackers Mahan - Enough Pars Senden - Enough Pars Woodland - Sea Island Mafia Leishman - Angry Birdies Westwood - Off Course Willett - Back 9 Guy Grace - Great Scott Fleetwood - Sub Seventy
Since the bracket has gone to hell, why not make some revised picks for the matches on Saturday morning.
McIlroy over Matsuyama Casey over Schwartzel Holmes over Furyk Oosthuizen over Fowler Mahan over Senden Leishman over Woodland Westwood over Willett Grace over Fleetwood
Only 2 of the top 11 players in the world emerged into the weekend. I expect upsets but this year seems rather ridiculous. Of the 16 groups only 5 top seeds advanced on.

Well...Ryder Cup is next year in Minnesota...and we should try to get together and have a blast watching Europe win again! Anyway... should be interesting...and if firm can hold...Hideki beats Rory tomorrow. I will say...Rory better bring his A game...because about the only thing following script w I th my team this week is that Mats has torn it up.

Jimenez' job is to protect the field. His (Jimenez) position is to make sure Bradley is ruling accurately. But since this is match-play.... that's out the window. Regardless, don't mind seeing a little passion, out there.

Congrats, Matt! McIlroy and Furyk were my first two choices in our first year of this league. I snuck a guy in there, but I'm happy to lose to those two guys. Luv 'em, even if I've loaned 'em to your team. Edit: They're not 'my guys' (who doesn't love em?), but they're guys I have deep respect for.

Shows just how much timing is with this event. During group play...Roy was very average...slipped through by the skin of his teeth...and other groups he would not have survived. The Hideki match was a turning point...because Hideki blistered through group play...Each match something different.
