The power rankings are out www.pgatour.com/power-rankings/2015/04/13/rbc-heritage-top-15-fantasy.html1) Zach Johnson - I agree with him being ranked, just not #1 2) Jordan Spieth - My first reaction is that he will have a letdown and be out of the top 10, but it's hard to not put this guy high up there 3) Webb Simpson - him and Zach really haven't done much so I kind of question the high regard for this tourney, too high 4) Kevin Streelman - I actually agree with this one, might seem high to some but he is playing well 5) Russell Henley - his game is improving as we hit full spring events, this seems about right 6) Charley Hoffman - a very consistant year so far and now it's carrying over into majors, this seems about right 7) Pat Perez - interesting to see him ranked this high, I can't quite agree with this one, either slightly or extremely too highly ranked 8) Ian Poulter - maybe ranked a slight bit low 9) Jason Kokrak - he keeps getting ranked high and I keep thinking he is over rated. I will call this only a slight over rating. 10) Matt Kuchar - defending champ and only ranked at #10, that just goes to show his recent form which is not good at all. Probably rated about right. 11) Patrick Reed - I would have ranked him top 5 12) Ben Martin - solid overall player, I believe he is ranked about right 13) John Huh - I still need to see more from him before I can agree with this ranking 14) Brendon de Jonge - I used to kind of like this guy but now I don't for whatever reason, ranked about right 15) William McGirt - No way Jose Those that deserve consideration Daniel Berger - I like his game and could be rookie of the year Graham DeLaet - might not win but I see him above some of those ranked Luke Donald - has a good history here despite not winning Ernie Els - The big Easy seems to like it here Matt Every - just won on tour, has confidence right now Bill Haas - He is too good not to be at least noticed Billy Horschel - proving to be inconsistant this year like he was last year Russell Knox - I could see him finishing relatively high this week Charl Schwartzel - is getting absolutely no love from this ranking system Brandt Snedeker - how is he not ranked with some of those that made the rankings

I like Poulter a lot this week. He was #1 in GIR at Augusta. Zach Johnson and Streelman both played very well last week and has good history here so he makes a lot of sense. Bill Haas is another I really like this week.
I am amazed Jordan is even trying to play this week. He will be exhausted.

I'll just say this, about Harbour Town (no secret). Ball placement off the tee/ & putting (isn't it the key, every week?), is everything. Harbour Town is where length off the tee, is no advantage at all, per se. I like Furyk, Hoffman, Z. Johnson, and Spieth. I look for G-Mac and Kuch to do well, as well. Sleeper: My own Harman. Essentially his home course, and got 7th last yr, and watched Charley Hoff for two rounds last week, leaving C-Hof in second at the Masters, before he was cut. Sometimes, 'little things' like that, mean a lot. I will very much admire Spieth if he plays this week. Cripes, Walker backed out of Houston after he won the Valero. Strategy worked great in prepping for the Masters, huh? **NOT** Edit: One more thing: the 3-pars at Harbour Town are demanding and gorgeous. The best par-3 players on tour deserve consideration. If the rain holds off, I'll be there Sunday. Looks like a wet week, but the Masters was forecasted wet also, and wasn't. **fingers crossed**

I believe I read somewhere that historically almost every winner of this event is a player that plays the week prior at Augusta. If Spieth plays and wins this week that would be beyond incredible. He is beyond his years but he is still 21 and so I can understand how everything that has happened since he won at the Masters could be a pretty major distraction heading to this event. I can't wait to see how he does the rest of the year but I am sure everyone can give him a pass from playing well this week. He deservingly should be quite a bit fatigued. He really should take a couple of weeks off and just get ready for the Match Play and the Players.

Wow...surprised McGirt is there....did finish 9th last year. I will say...Sabbatini has finished 9th the last two years...17th year before that....so he likes the place. I think...and hope Poultry does well...surprised Donald and Sheds was not on list.

Rich can probably attest to this the best but I was looking at the hole by hole photo shots of each hole at Harbour Town on pgatour.com. By the light house and the name Harbour town one would first think this is a sea side golf course. It is by the ocean and #18 hugs the coastline but most of the holes do not resemble that of an oceanside course such as like Pebble Beach. Alot of the holes seem to have alot of character surrounded by tight fairways, alot of trees and ponds placed in very strategic and tough locations. Some of the greens are very oddly shaped and seem to be those that would require tough approach shots. I am impressed how close the trees are to the fairways and greens. Alot of the holes seem like small corridors rather than fairways. I would imagine on many of the holes it would be tough to tell that you would even be on an ocean course. When people think of Harbour Town they probably think of the 18th hole and who realistically wouldn't. The course is much more than that though. Pete Dye did a nice job on this course design.

I can see why length isn't nearly as important here but instead much more so accuracy. I am sure this wasn't one of Tiger Woods best courses considering his game tended to be a little crooked off the tee even in his good years. I don't know how often he played this tourney but I bet he didn't like it. It is suggested that this course has alot of Scottish flare to it. I guess I don't see that so much. If anything I see a little Sawgrass in this course but with narrower fairways and not quite as much water.
Well go figure after looking I see that Sawgrass was also designed by Pete Dye. I can totally believe that.

That's a great observation, Eric. **And before I add anything else, can I interject something? I really have enjoyed your increased golf chatter, this year. Great stuff ** Hilton Head Island is shaped much like a shoe, with the 'sole' facing the Atlantic... and the top of the shoe (laces), facing inland, to the Calibogue Sound. My condo, is on the 'heel' (Atlantic-facing) part of the island. So, as you can see, Harbour Towne is situated on the 'mainland' (westward/non-Atlantic)-facing-part of the Island. And perhaps, the famous lighthouse (on the 18th) is mis-leading, as it is not facing the Atlantic side of the island, but on the inward half facing the mainland, also. You are exactly right, in your comparison to Pebble Beach... whose holes famously and directly borders the Pacific. Harbour Townes' holes DO NOT directly border the Atlantic, but the Calibogue Sound. Very shrewd observation, Eric. I'm impressed. Edit: When you watch golf at the 18th at Pebble Beach, the next stop is Guam, the Phillipines, or Japan. When you watch golf at the 18th at Harbour Towne, the next stop is Hardeeville. Monterey is a peninsula, Hilton Head is an island. Regardless..... it's all beautiful golf....imo.

Rich will you been in attendance during any of the rounds this year?
As far as the play Spieth stands out with his +3 74. Was his letdown inevitable this weekend and will he make the cut. I am a little surprised to see Graeme McDowell tied for the lead as that seems like a foreign place on the leaderboard for him lately. After mostly slumping lately Bae is back in contention this week. Kuchar is also right there at -3. Poulter right there at -2 as I think he will be a threat this weekend. Not many big names this week in the top 20. Surprised to see Snedeker way down there at +6.

Spieth looked exhausted playing today and he deserves a lot of kudos for showing up to play. Kuchar made it a point during his interview today after the round to point out how impressed he was with Jordan and how he hopes others will follow.

Rich will you been in attendance during any of the rounds this year? Was going to try to finagle a rare day off from work on Sunday.... but the forecast calls for 90% chance of rain Sunday, up from 60% chance a few days ago when I checked. 60% chance of rain on Saturday, as well. 30% chance today. It's been gloomy/overcast all week. Which is a shame, last week (Masters week) weather was perfect, here. Bad luck, HHI & surrounding area really amps up for this tournament. I'm a little worried they'll get the full tournament in this weekend, without significant disruption.

Spieth is a freaking machine.
I have a question though. I put MacKenzie in my starting line up but he must have pulled out somewhere along the line. I assume that means Perez got put in automatically? Even though he wasn't technically a WD

Yes it appears he did withdraw on Monday so Perez will be inserted. Thanks for letting me know.
