Oh boo fuckin' hoo. I say this as an owner of a team that had it's players plummet down the leader board, today. So you set up a course that looked good in the morning, but played differently in the aft? Hell.... that's a microcosm of the PGA every week. But magnified, today. Phil Mickelson is a POS. THAT'S RIGHT, I SAID IT! Always suspected it... now confirmed. Fowler? Must not have had a wardrobe change for the occasion.  Suck it the fuck up, buttercups. Or make the G-D putt. Who doubts if Phil made that putt, he'd a given one of these? **Phil jump logo** What a bunch of fuggin pussies. **rant over** We got 4 Murkin's on the leaderboard...one of them will win tomorrow, assuredly. I hope Koepka. The only non-pussy, out there with a chance to win. Great Open. |

Phil Mickelson should have been DQ'd on the spot. If he isn't prior to the start of his final round Phil should withdraw on his own accord. I don't understand the 2 stroke penalty because who knows where the ball would have ended up and with how frustrated he was who knows how many strokes it would have taken to hole out. We will never know if a 2 stroke penalty would have been enough. That is pretty bush league and if the PGA allows this to stand with no DQ there is going to be much controversy. When a player touches a moving ball on purpose it goes beyond a penalty stroke situation. Remember when Ernie Els was at a tourney a year or two ago and he ended up 7 putting from inside 10 feet. That is why no penalty is acceptable after what Phil did and an auto DQ is the only way to handle this IMHO.
This has been a very bad weekend for the legitimacy and honorability of golf and golf is supposed to be an honorable game.

He knew the penalty and said he just wanted to move on to the next hole. What is the problem? Knew the penalty and accepted it, moved on and finished his round. Put your big boy pants on Richard and don’t let that bother you if the course didn’t. |

The problem was that the course was fine but wind dried it out and Made it “unplayable” in the afternoon. No way that the last 6 groups played the same course as Berger and Finau. They are good golfers and they had good rounds but when the worlds truly top layers line Rose, DJ, Koepka etc... are not able to hold greens and putting off greens then you screwed up. If Finau or Berger wins it will be beacuase if the pisspoor job of the USGA setting up the course for Saturday. Fox is the worst at golf too and I love Joe Buck but he sucks at golf. Anyways I don’t contribute much commentary normally to the group but I figured I had to this time as I have a bunch of cash riding in DJ and Rose. Lol
