Did you ever think it was possible to see a PGA professional chip the ball this bad. Let alone one of the all time greats. He is so scared to chip that he is even trying to run things along the ground 25 yards from the green. Junior golfs 4-10 years old can chip better than this. What is going on?

I'm serving cheesy chili-dips for Bubba's win and Hawks SB win tomorrow. EnoughPars is invited to overpay join me. :) Srsly, that was weird to watch. The cat looked totally lost, on a 1/4 swing. Sheesh Tigs ..... put your weight on your left side, stance slightly open, press hands a little forward, and take a 1/4 swing. Boom.

As a Tiger fan I was really hoping he would get things figured out. Obviously never be like he was but there is still time ot make a run at Jack. Even if he didn't get there, it would be fun to watch. Then again, going to be tough for Tiger to win a major with Rory kicking his ASS.

Well...I never was Tiger fan..not going to slam him here...but will say that eagle on 13 on Day 1 was a thing of beauty. Only moments now though.

I'm still trying to figure Tiger's short game out. Its so bad. I'm not even sure how its physically possible to chip as bad as Tiger is right now as a professional golfer. I used to teach Jr golf during the summers and they look better than him around the greens. Its tough to watch to say the least. HOWEVER...being the Tiger fan I am...it's still early in the season haha A lot of golf left to be played...
Also saying he can't find the bottom of his swing is a joke when it comes to chipping..just stub the ground behind the ball and he would have better luck out there.

Looks like he just withdrew. That back is going to be an issue. He is going to have to chagne the way he plays I think. Dial it back a few notches and play percentage golf vs overpowering a course.

It took him 3 shots from 20 yards off of the green to get the ball within 25 ft of the hole...I'm embarrassed for him when he has to hit a pitch shot Not to mention the back problem...Any kind of lower back tightness...doesnt even have to be pain is a big problem for a golf swing. From what I saw is his lower back/legs must be pretty tight..he can't clear his hips on the downswing, meaning his arms are getting ahead of his body hence his slices and blocked shots. All in all with the reoccurring back issue, the issues with his golf swing both (full and short) and his mental/emotional state..this could be a very long year. I suppose I couldnt talk anyone into a trade haha just kidding

I suppose I couldnt talk anyone into a trade haha just kidding As everyone else knows I had the same microdiscetomy surgery that Tiger had and felt great right after. A year later I was back in surgery for a laminectomy and another microdiscectomy surgery. Right before I went back to the doctor while playing golf I started to experience pain while swinging. I was hitting massive push slices and my normal golf swing produces a draw/hook. Watching Tiger today I am convinced he is in big trouble. I expect he will be having another surgery at some point and it will be a disc replacement or fusion. Both are major surgeries spell big problems for his future. Watching him have trouble bending over, not being able to straighten one leg. I know exactly what he is going through and I can tell you it isn't tightness. That is BS.

I suppose I couldnt talk anyone into a trade haha just kidding I traded for him last yr, the week before the tourney where he announced his back trouble/surgery. Fortunately, I gave up Dufner, who went on to shorten his season due to injury, as well. Eric/I also switched Na and Horschel, which looked good for me, until the last month when Horschel found his game. So, I'm a bit empathetic to your plight. I thought Tiger had put this behind him (literally), but Aaron may well be right (Aaron's been spot-on re: Tiger so far). Good luck!

It's definitely tough when he has been saying how his back was no longer an issue and he found his "speed" again...it all sounded good. The fact is I'm a huge Tiger fan therefore I bought it all. Oh well..it's a long season! It's also not very comforting to see a PGA tour professional be so bad around the greens.

Anyone want to venture a guess when Tiger will come back. I would have a real hard time believing he will play in the Texas Open but his game is as ugly as the course so it would be a good fit. I don't believe Tiger is one to play the week before a major but his last chance after the Texas Open is the Shell Houston Open which is the week before the Masters.
Will Tiger actually make his comeback at Augusta if he plays the Masters at all. I would have a hard time believing he would skip the Masters unless it is a health related issue. His game could be in shambles and he would still give it a go for another green jacket. I am going to guess he comes back for the Houston Open and plays back to back weeks. I will also guess that he will suck at Augusta and miss the cut. If his short game isn't completely on he will struggle in Georgia. Actually I am going to backtrack. I think whether he plays the Texas open of the Houston Open I say there is a 50% chance that he reinjures himself and it costs him from playing Augusta.

If he doesn't play next week I expect his next start will be at Augusta. I do think next week is possible. Just don't see him playing a week before a major because it isn't his normal prep routine. I still believe he will ultimately be needing a disc replacement or fusion. Let's see how long he can avoid it.

Tiger is officially not in the field for the Houston Open. That means no warm up events prior to the Masters. There have been no wispers from the Tiger camp whether or not he will play Augusta. He seems awfully quite lately. Will he actually skip the premier tourney of the season. I really don't think at this point he would play well there anyway but that wouldn't stop the cameras from watching his every move if he did play.
