The rankings
1) Justin Rose - Top 5 probably but I am not ready to put him at #1 just yet. He needs to play better a little longer.
2) Dustin Johnson - hard to argue with a high ranking from him. He has been in contention everywhere.
3) Jason Day - the Masters performance keeps him out of the #1 spot but top 5 is probably deserved.
4) Brendan Steele - Just too high. His respect level is going up but I would feel more comfortable around the #10-15 slot.
5) Rickie Fowler - If this was last year and at a major this would be about right but this isn't last year and he is ranked too high.
6) Keegan Bradley - I can't think of many top 10's for him so I would lower him about 10 spots
7) Harris English - With recent form I don't think he deserves this high of a ranking. He is a fringe player for a ranking.
8) John Peterson - He has been playing well, normally this would be too high but maybe just maybe he is ranked about right.
9) Russell Knox - Great comeback from a very poor first round at the Heritage. This is not too high for him.
10) Brendon de Jonge - not a top 10 machine. A little too high IMO.
11) Sean O'Hair - He is definately playing better after disappearing from tour. Maybe just a little too high.
12) Morgan Hoffman - Haven't seen this guy in the rankings much. He is always capable of finishing high.
13) Troy Merritt - Was he a one week wonder or will he do it again. I am not quite buying this high of a ranking.
14) Cameron Tringale - Another guy not showing up in the rankings much, He has a good history here.
15) Steve Stricker - Is he eligible for the senior tour yet. He might be more likely to miss the cut than make the top 15.
Deserving Consideration
Billy Horschel - Always a threat for a top 15 but also a threat for missing the top 40.
Kevin Kisner - A fringe player to be ranked but much like Merritt could be a one week wonder.
Seung-Yul Noh - defending champ could make another run but hasn't finished very high this year.
Chris Stroud - has been playing better and might make a run this week.
Justin Thomas - after a very good start to the year isn't being recognized much of late.
Bernard Wiesberger - Has been playing some pretty good golf.
My top 5 this week
Win: Dustin Johnson
2nd: Jason Day
3rd: Justin Rose
4th: Russell Knox
5th: Morgan Hoffman
