Well...had mixed feelings this week. I love this tourney...this and the (British) Open are my two favorite events of the year...I love the place...the whole event. It might even be my single-most favorite sorting event for ANY sport. I won a little money...that Draftkings contest...I did very well.... My twenty dollars turned into two hundred. They already have their U.S.Open one advertised. It is salary cap...six players... I had Spieth, Day, Matsuyama,Casey, Na, and Singh. Winner won a million dollars. For twenty dollars...hey...besides...I like salary cap games because as long as costs match I get to have WHOM I WANT. Lol. So..that went well. In general... Spieth is impressive...and while he is not a favorite of mine, at least I LIKE him in general overall...unlike say guys like Reed and Horschel whom I cannot stand ...Reed I hope gets eaten by a gator in New Orleans next week. Spieth I think is a good ambassador for the direction of the future...he, along with Day, Matsuyama, and many others are there to give Rory some good rivalries. As for my team here... Well..good points....second most...but also a bit disappointed...not a lot...but many by now know...the big events I am ultra critical...as I set my roster up tailored more for bigger events. I started being a tad disappointed before the tourney began with Stenson and his flu. He was entering on fire...and it was just evident he was still not his usual self...particularly early in the tourney. His impressive string of being par or better every round came to an end...even being a shadow of his usual self...his "poor" two rounds were each only one over par. He came back well over the weekend...makes me just wonder "what could have been". Day...not his usual...if anything Jason usually starts slow and kicks in gear and gets better as the tourney goes. The whole tourney...he was just a tad off...not a lot...but just enough to not be able to capitalize at key points. Again...when being 28th is a "poor" result it says something about what we have come to expect...but a little frustration there. However... Poulter continues to really play well...and Matsuyama did very well. Combined with Day and Stenson, you have a very strong foursome who are all playing very well overall this year thus far, and thus offer much excitement ahead. Weisberger did very well...he has had a strong year overall thus far as well. After the next two weeks....we have the match Play event...which has been huge for me the last two years. This also is where quantity/numbers can help as well as quality...being only 64 players will even be in the thing. Then The Players the next week...and The Memorial soon afterwards... So...much to be exited about...and while Ryan will be tough to catch...and has a strong five or six guys at his core....there is much left to the season. Main guy/concern... Dubuisson. He has had some strong rounds where he looks like himself...but as of yet...getting all four rounds together. Perhaps the Match Play could be where he regains a bit of his "oomph".... As it was last years event which truly made him a new star...and he also did well in Ryder Cup play...so...hopefully some of the magic can be revisited. Overall...good place...strong results...but looking to keep the momentum rising...

Also...although never a fan....and usually more against...it was good...and somewhat impressive to see Woods do respectfully. I think even those of us who often like seeing Tiger do not so well...just were not expecting to see what we did a couple months ago. Plus that one shot today when he hit that root...that really looked painful.

Stenson has never really been great at Augusta but I did expect him to do better and the flu likely impact it. Jason Day was the real disappointment.
I was happy to see Rickie find his form midway through the event and ended up carding another good finish in the majors. Not the week I had hoped for either, but it wasn't bad.

Well...I really liked that tracking tool at Masters.com...really nice...used it a lot while watching. Jason was not a lot off...but he was off just enough...to make life more difficult...as is the case at Augusta...it doesn't take much. The worst was that he didn't take advantage on the Par 5s...where he usually gobbles them up. again...with both Stenson and Day...we hold to such high standards that when they finish in the twenties we are disappointed...but it did tarnish things a bit. Again..I had a strong amount of points...second most...but one...Ryan had first...so that didn't help, but also had Day and Stenson played their "usual".... Who knows what I could have scored. I know Stenson has a lukewarm history at Augusta...but he was coming in primed...and his last two rounds I think showed more what could have been. He also didn't take advantage of Par 5 holes really until the final day. Jason...I just want him to win in general...well for both to get their first major since they have been all around it the past two or three years. I am very glad with Matsuyama and Poulter...they complement Day and Stenson to really give a very strong quartet going into these things...all playing very well overall. We just need to get Dubuisson back completely on track....and I actually have some good depth with others for these events. I like Wiesberger a lot..so was glad he had a solid tourney. Really looking forward to Match Play a couple weeks from now...then Players...great 1-2.

Brutal tournament for me. Watson/Walker pre-tourney favorites, got 38 pts out of both combined, Walker almost missed the cut. Ernie could not post a decent round, after the first. Woodland gagged after a good first round, missed the cut by one. Haas the only one that played about where expected. Didn't expect much from Harman, but he got to see Hoffman's first two rounds close up. Should help him in the future. Oh, btw. I heard it mentioned, Spieth is a young man (in case you guys missed that)

I figure Jordan can take a little jab since his life is turning out pretty decent. haha

I saw a tweet last night
Jordan Spieth is 21 but he looks 39 so that averages out to 30.....not nearly as impressive. LOL Obviously mocking all the references to his age.
Also saw a tweet that CBS will now return Jim Nantz to a gated community until the world needs him again.
