The power rankings are out on the traditional Monday reveal www.pgatour.com/power-rankings/2015/03/23/valero-texas-open.html
1) Jordan Spieth - Hard to argue here
2) Ryan Palmer - Can't quite agree with this one, not a bad players but #2 he is not
3) Jimmy Walker - I can agree with this ranking, hasn't been way up there lately but is still always a threat
4) Dustin Johnson - He deserves this ranking and has a good success rate of finishing very high in events lately
5) Jim Furyk - generally over rated in these power rankings and is overrated again this week - i like him though
6) Brendan Steele - has a good history here, has been playing pretty well, only slightly over rated in the ranking here
7) Kevin Na - rated about right as he has been fairly hot - had a 16 on one hole here in 2011 when he was on my team
8) Zach Johnson - hasn't been playing well for very long - about right in the rankings
9) Matt Kuchar - I would rank him too low, He and Palmer should switch places
10) Matt Jones - maybe a hair over rated but not by much
11) Martin Laird - he can come out of no where to play well but I would have to say he is a little over rated
12) Jason Kokrak - ranked about right but I am not one of his biggest fans
13) Daniel Summerhays - not buying here, should probably not be ranked at all
14) Will MacKenzie - must be a weak field for him to make the power rankings, not seeing this one at all
15) Charley Hoffman - has just been average late so ranking is about right, if he were at his earlier season form would be underranked
A few that got left out that can make good cases for being included
Daniel Berger - has been very consistant for a young guy
Graham DeLaet - has plenty to play for
Jason Dufner - maybe a fringe ranking - he has the game but maybe not the good recent play
Harris English - I would put him in front of a few that were ranked
Matt Every - The guy just won and that should count for something
Billy Horschel - can snap out of it at any time
Martin Kaymer - wow how is he not ranked. I guess he doesn't play the small events very well.
Graeme McDowell - he can always be a threat
Phil Mickelson - another one of many guys that are ranked below some that made the final cut
