OK so here we are at the tandem event. I really don't like this event but the PGA tour insists. Maybe they can't allow players to golf alone due to the dangerous city of New Orleans and all the crime. I hope these golfers are wearing body cams in case there is some type of a crime on course that needs to be recorded.
So the scoring for this one works per golfer not per team. So the team that finished 1st will split the points for 1st and 2nd place. The team that finished 2nd will split 3rd and 4th place points. The team that finishes 10th will split the 20th and 21st place points and so on down until 50 golfers have been covered. If we gave each team the points for the exact place they finish than this event would be scored as a tier 1 event which it clearly is not. It is just the way this weird event has to go.
