First of all, I’m not complaining,2nd of all I’m not talking about players that don’t finish rounds,I’m talking about players in the field that withdraw last minute and don’t play at all then leave holes in peoples lineups,that’s the conundrum.Everyone should be able to start a full lineup for their $2 entry,if a player in a lineup fails to show and doesn’t even get the chance to play then I’m saying the alternate or the top player on the missed lineup group should replace him automatically,I suggest this for next year,it has nothing to do with cap room at all,I could give 2 shits if we implement it at all but it was just a suggestion We all play by the same rules. I guess we all have the responsibility to check our lineups and the status of our players. If someone withdraws at the last minute that is a bad break but one that each of us may have to endure at some point. The subs can take care of any issues that are presented if more than one player in a starting lineup doesn't play or doesn't finish their first round. It actually has everything to do with cap room. Because subs can be used for multiple reasons and one might be the issues that may arise that an alternate simply doesn't cover. I do find it amazing that those that are bringing this up are the ones that are low on cap room. What is unfair for those that don't have much cap left is just as unfair to those that spend 100.00 less on their rosters knowing the importance of keeping money around for needs that arise throughout the year, especially subs. We have a very good set of rules in this league IMO. I don't really think we need any major changes but maybe I am wrong. |

I believe in the integrity of the salary cap. That is one thing that we all have to play by and what keeps the league fair to all. We could go to a full snake draft without cap dollars at all if we want to. I sure as hell don't want to do that, and that is why I believe in the integrity of the cap. Call me a rules stickler but that is what keeps the league fair.

I’m not bringing it up because I’m in cap trouble. I’m in the same cap situation every year so doesn’t really make a difference to me.
I’m more bringing it up to keep things fair and have a conversation but apparently that’s turned into making it personal and now I’m complaining and it’s because I have cap issues, haha. Fuck that shit....
I guess everyone has their own opinion of cap trouble. Again, I was just more participating in the discussion as someone who was affected the last two weeks with last second withdrawal of Cantlay and English. The Alt has served me well.
Carry on....The league is the best ever and there’s nothing that should ever change or be discussed, haha.
I’m far too busy with life and everything going on to get in a silly debate. I’m not fucking complaining though, sorry Eric, that comment couldn’t be more wrong.
I’ll go back to just submitting lineups and subs.

There is nothing wrong with some debate. There wasn’t any debate man, what was being debated??? You turned it into a debate by making it personal and saying people are complaining and complaining because they are in cap trouble. There was a conversation and discussion taking place because there’s been last minute withdrawals specifically with some big names in the last two weeks that quite frankly, couldn’t have been avoided. So as a beneficiary of the ALT rule, and way back when the ALT was inserted, this was EXACTLY the reason why! As I stated way back on Thursday, I don’t think a new rule needs to be created for something that’s happened ONCE now in however many years of this league AND Kevin Na wouldn’t have even been eligible for an automatic sub anyways due to the nature of his WD. Sorry for bitching and complaining though by participating in the conversation and just discussing things. I’ll be robo man with lineups and subs and just enjoy the mundane nature a set it and forget it league again. |
