There is a reason we have up to 3 subs as well. If it was up to me I wouldn't mind having no alternate at all. But one is definitely enough in my book.

That works for me and as someone who has been affected by last minute drops the last two weeks, Cantlay last week and English this week, the alternate is very much needed so there is a full roster submitted as intended when starting a lineup.
I don't have an issue with only having one alternate, this is the first and only time this has come up where the Alt was needed and then the Alt withdrew. In looking at it further, Na wouldn't have qualified for a replacement anyways as he withdrew AFTER he fired an 81 today.

It’s cool, didn’t expect to get a favourable ruling,it sucks though that guys withdraw as the tournament starts, I think an alternate alternate should be made available next year just in case this happens to someone else,we have no idea who may or may not withdraw before the tournament starts and I don’t think people should be penalized for that,I think if someone withdraws before a tourney starts then the alternate would draw in and the 2nd alternate would then become the alternate

Like I said, I’ve been bit the last two weeks with last second withdrawals so I’m all about coming up with a solution because I’d be pissed if I was in your shoes too.

Yea I’m not pissed but I think last minute withdrawals on the field list should be able to be replaced free of charge with either a player in the same order as a missed lineup or a pre listed player,I’m sure this likely isn’t going to happen very often but I think it would be a good rule adjustment for the future

Subs are not due until prior to the first tee time Sunday morning. If you post subs now they can be changed until first tee time on Sunday but at least that way if you forget the sub will count if it was posted.
I have been pretty lucky lately.

All of my starters look like they are gonna make the cut. Rahm was in real trouble but he finished well yesterday and had a good round today. Same with Berger so those are some big bullets dodged especially for a tier 1.
Alternates are not meant to have the highest remaining player on a roster fill in. It is one alternate for one golfer that doesn't finish round 1. As I said we have 3 subs that can be used. If teams that are low on cap are complaining about this than I suggest saving more cap money for the season. We could always put a cap on the money every owner can spend at the draft but I have a feeling that would be unpopular. There is a big advantage being able to spend 100.00 more than some teams at the auction. But that comes with a price and that price is being realized by some teams that are gonna end up in some pretty big trouble by the end of the year. I don't personally believe in "get out of jail free cards". How you make your bed is how you should have to lay in it. After giving more thought I am starting to lean more towards not being able to trade auction money for players but I am not absolutely dead set against it. I just think people need to be accountable for how they spend their cap.

First of all, I’m not complaining,2nd of all I’m not talking about players that don’t finish rounds,I’m talking about players in the field that withdraw last minute and don’t play at all then leave holes in peoples lineups,that’s the conundrum.Everyone should be able to start a full lineup for their $2 entry,if a player in a lineup fails to show and doesn’t even get the chance to play then I’m saying the alternate or the top player on the missed lineup group should replace him automatically,I suggest this for next year,it has nothing to do with cap room at all,I could give 2 shits if we implement it at all but it was just a suggestion
