My suggestion would be to move this WGC to Pebble Beach in CA and make it the last stop on the West Coast swing. Just move it one week later and the Genesis Open one week earlier. That way we could have 4 straight tourney's at Torrey, at Phoenix, at LA and then at Pebble. The Pro Am would obviously have to be moved to a different date and tourney site. Maybe have the Pro Am either be at Lake Tahoe or one of the Vegas events in October or regrettably the week after Pebble. Pebble Beach is a gem and deserves better and a WGC event would be the exact way to make that happen. The slot that used to be the WGC which is the last week in February could be a new tourney and a new site on tour. Las Vegas has some very nice courses. I wouldn't mind a tourney there in February instead of October.
What PGA golfer that used to skip the Pro Am would have a problem with this schedule change. I don't think many would.

If not Pebble, Torrey Pines would be a great place to have a WGC event as well. California is such a big part of the tour but they really don't have an annual big event that they deserve. I am watching the opening coverage on Saturday afternoon and what a great site with the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean. Look out Jon Rahm is on his game and tied for the lead. He loves this place and they just showed that he proposed to his wife at this course. This was always a good place for Tiger as well. Many elite golfers have really done well at this tourney over the years.

If the orange fuckhead would just die, already, maybe it would go back to Doral, like it should be.

They should just disassociate his name with the Doral course. I agree that Doral was an awesome play for that WGC event.
