As far as the draft how about some input from everyone.
1) how did you think the draft went overall with the logistics and so forth.
2) From a strategic standpoint how did the draft go for you personally and what surprised you about this years draft?
3) What players were you targeting and trying to get? Which players were you happy to get at the price you got them?
4) Which players did you wish you would have gotten but the price ended up going too high? Did you get out of the bidding too soon on any particular players?
5) What do you like or dislike about your particular team?
6) Not including your own team what other teams did you like and what other players were really good bargains and maybe went a little too high?
7) Other comments

1.Draft went nice and smooth for the most part, only problem I had is once my hockey pool started I had to reload chat and all previous messages disappeared but considering I did the whole thing from my phone it was good.
2.surprises for me was how high the prices got on some players cough cough English cough....
3.I really wanted one of either Hovland,Morikawa or Woolf but at $90 a pop they were slightly out of my range but I was happy to pick up Koepka at 130 this year instead of the 140-145 he usually goes for last couple years.I was super stoked to pick up Fowler and Spieth for a combined $85 but I think I jumped to 100 a little early on Rosy,in retrospect I probably could’ve got him for 75-80.
4.see above Hovland Morikawa and Woolf
5.I spent too much on my team, gonna be up against the cap no doubt, got a couple dogs too but these guys are all capable on any given day.
6. I don’t see any teams that really stick out this year,I think we are gonnna be in for a real dogfight all the way through, seems every team has a couple thoroughbreds so it’s anyone’s game IMO.

Also I think a player should be able to be traded for cap dollars,I think it would add a cool aspect to the pool, any thoughts on that?

1) I thought the draft went about as well as it could be. I know Dan wanted Audio but could you imagine how hard it would be to have 10 owners all trying to talk on the same conference call. It would make things very confusing and which owner bid would be hard to keep straight. 3 and a half hours is not bad at all.
2) Strategically I was happy with my draft but I always seem to be one really good golfer from being happy but that is the difference between spending 260 and 320. Big different in cap flexibility. A difference I just can't give up.
3) I wanted Wolff but when he went for over 90.00 I was very happy that I ended up winning out on Berger because the golfers I wanted would have ended up dwindling with too much cap space left to spend. I was happy to get Conners and Zalatoris. Zalarotis is the type of player that might be able to have an upside or a Wolff, Morikawa or Hovland but he is at least a year away from that. I hope to get lucky with him like I did with Wolff last year. I am happy to get him for 33.00. I am stoked to get Conners for only 13 but we will see on him too.
4) There was a brief moment where I considered trying to get DJ and Rahm both on my team but my cap would have gone too high and just couldn't quite pull that off.
5) I am not sure I have a top 3 team this year. There are teams out there that have a really good top 3 or 4 and I don't know if I have that. What stands out to me is Matt with JT, Cantlay, Hatton and Fitz.
6) These are the players I think were bargains in my mind.
Redman, Day, Kokrak, Im, An, Horschel, Hatton, Fitzpatrick, Conners, Zalatoris, Matz, Fleetwood, Finau, Gooch

I hear where you are coming from but the thing I don't like is it allows a get out of free card for cap mismanagement and the foundation of this league is that you have to stick to your salary cap. I guess we can always see in the future but for this year it is a non starter as any rules would take a 100% vote to change after the draft.

Keep hating on English. With his win yesterday and increased eligibility, I think I stole him now. That’s the beauty, I have my squad and values and you have yours. I’d way rather have Harris for $60 than Rose for $100. You going to get 13-14 tournaments out of Rosey so for that price, he better pop a BIG dub off! And I LOVE Rosey, just not at $100, haha

1) I thought the draft went well. It always takes longer than we expect but overall better than some of the clusters we have had in the past. LOL I'd prefer we start a bit earlier but that is only due ot having kids.
2) Strategy is always tough. I wasn't surprised at the price of the "big guns" that always happens. I think the biggest challenge is passing on a player you want or would like knowing you have a different guy in mind and then THAT player gets bid through the roof. Like people mentioned, I think Wolf, Hovland, Morikowa were all guys almost everyone had targeted thinking we could grab them but everyone is thinking the same thing.
3) Like above, Wolf, Hovland, Morikowa were people I targeted. I wanted either DJ or Thomas and got Thomas. I didn't want to pay that much but it's all relative. Knew it would be 135 to 155 in that range. I took Scheffler in the auction last year and was hoping to add him as my number 2 this year. I knew he would go pretty high. But I am perfectly fine with Cantlay. Have always liked him. I think Spieth, Conners, Zalatoris, Webb, Ancer, Woodland and a few others were all gotten at a very good value for their potential
4) There were many players I really liked but even if they went for what I thought was good value it was the timing of when their names were tossed out that impacts that. If you go grab a guy for 30 to 50 might be great value but if you have someone else targeted, you have to limit yourself.
5) I like the potential of my team. I have 4 guys in the world top 16. Granted some of that is handicapped based on tournaments played. I would have liked to grab some of the new up and comers but this year was hard based on the wonky year last year.
6) I think every single team has a shot. Other than rich. LOL jk! Honestly this really boils down to getting a little lucky. I don't think there are any stacked teams. I think everyone knows what they are doing and it's simply a matter of whether you get some of your middle guys having a hot year. Or if one of the flyers you took/take pan out.
7) Trying to come up with a good bet with the girl I have been dating. I won the bet last year getting into the top 3 so she will have to strip on the top of the boat. Better than ME stripping if I lost. and I'm sure all my boat neighbors will appreciate that as well. Need to come up with something for this year. Also, side note. I highly recommend dating someone way younger. sweet jesus man LOL

As far as the draft how about some input from everyone. Very well. Way faster than past years
1) how did you think the draft went overall with the logistics and so forth. 2) From a strategic standpoint how did the draft go for you personally and what surprised you about this years draft? cant believe I bought Rahm. Hes a helluva player, just dont care for him. i was due to pick a player next and i was going to pick rory, so somehow thats who i thought inwas bidding on. When eric typed rahm on my roster screen, i felt like an idiot, lol.
3) What players were you targeting and trying to get? Which players were you happy to get at the price you got them? i wanted rory morikawa niemann i should have went more on simpson
4) Which players did you wish you would have gotten but the price ended up going too high? Did you get out of the bidding too soon on any particular players? 5) What do you like or dislike about your particular team? my draft sucked, but managed a trade with josh that made us both happier if you hadnt noticed, josh likes to trade
6) Not including your own team what other teams did you like and what other players were really good bargains and maybe went a little too high? 7) Other comments i was surprised noone bought stenson for 1$ at end of auction

You’re right, but next year we should definitely have a look at it.I don’t see fairness or unfairness with that, there are two sides to that coin,if you manage your cap well and have lots of money left then it would still be worth something theoretically.everyone is dealt 470 at the beginning so I’m just arguing that surplus dollars should have a value.

Just curious how this would work. Most people don't have nearly enough cap dollars to buy a player once the season starts. I do see the opportunity to overspend ont he draft and if it doesn't work out add cap dollars by getting rid of a player or two. Not sure that is a good thing or a bad thing? But sometimes you dont' spend nearly as much on the draft as you thought because once the big guns go it's hard to spend money just to spend and having a ton of cap money left over......doens't really do you much good imo. there are only so many moves to make with extra cap dollars.

For me extra cap dollars are important. I tend to draft players that play a lot so my options for subs are generally greater than the average team. In my opinion the whole point of a salary cap league is that you have to manage your cap. Being able to trade for extra cap money is a way to circumvent that and it would be difficult to tell in a trade the correct value. I am personally against being able to trade or trade for salary cap money. If salary cap money can be traded to me it goes against the spirit of having a cap league. To me that is a foundational thing.

In theory it's no different than the draft. Would need to think through this more.

I will personally vote against being able to trade cap money but if I am outvoted than there is nothing I can do about it.
