Damn I just noticed that Sang Moon Bae and Robert Streb were both late additions to the field. I didn't see either of them listed on Friday and didn't think they were even eligible for this tourney. I wonder how either or both suddenly qualified for the field. I probably wouldn't have added Warren or Illonen if I would have known that. It cost me Scott Pinckney because of it. Oh well that is how things go I guess. For now I will keep my lineup the same but I may have a change of heart by tee time Thursday. I am thinking of you Josh in starting those two worthless Euros :-) I will add Bae as my alternate though. Bradley Mahan Moore Warren Illonen alternate: Bae Robert Streb, Sangmoon Bae, Charley Hoffman and James Hahn earned Cadillac berths by being in the top 10 in the FedExCup after the Honda. Hahn, winner of the Northern Trust Open, will not play in the tournament, though, because his wife is expecting their first child. So one week ago I had 3 players eligible for Doral and now after my additions I have 8 in the tourney and would have had 9 if Hahn was entered. That is a crazy turnaround. Now the question is can any of them do anything this week. I am glad Doral considers the Fed Ex Cup standings a little bit but only inviting the top 10 seems a little strict. I guess that is why they call it a World Golf Championship and consider the world rankings much more heavily. |
