I know this is a board for golf but I gotta say that Hockey in general and the Stanley Cup Playoffs to be more specific just completely rocks. IMO and this has been confirmed to me as of late is that the best single event in sports is the Stanley Cup Playoffs as I believe the Stanley Cup in hockey is arguably the most difficult trophy to win and it is the best trophy in all of sports which is fitting. The traditions with the Stanley Cup are very cool and unreal.
Last years semi-finals really were the point where it was undeniable in my mind. Of all 4 semi-finalists most in particular Winnipeg, Washington and Vegas had fans that were unbelievably passionate. They were like mobs in the streets during their home playoff games. The Caps fans during their celebration were unbelievable how they fill up the Mall area near the Capitol and Washington Monument area. It is nice to see that city be able to focus on something that brings them together and not tears them apart. I am not sure if the Wizards if they would have won the NBA would have been able to match the passion of the Caps fans but I could be way wrong on that.
So let the Stanley Cup playoffs continue to deliver as it has been doing quite a bit lately. For the record I am an Avalanche fan so I am pretty pumped about now, and my #2 team is Washington so last year was pretty darn exciting. For what sucks in golf for me, is the complete opposite in hockey.

Gotta agree, Hockey is definitely my fave sport and the passion of its fans is unrivalled except maybe in soccer,of course as a Canucks fan this is also a depressing time of year π

The Canucks were my transition favorite team between the time the North Stars left Minnesota to the time the Avalanche arrived in Denver. I still don't think there was a better uniform in all of sports than the Canucks when they had the Black, red (or is it orange) and gold. Loved those with the skate on the front. My favorites were the black ones but the gold ones are my personal favorite gold uni's in all of sports. Why the hell did the Canucks go away from those 100% awesome uniforms. Their current ones are butt ugly in my opinion. None of them are attractive since they got rid of the blacks. Attachments:

These uni's were not liked by many but I didn't think they were that bad. I think these were in the 1980's are prior but the ones in the later 80's and 90's just cannot be beat. Attachments:

Of course, Minnesota teams were/are favorites, but miss my Quebec Nordiques, and the cool unis.

Yep, the downhill skate was definitely my favourite uniform as well, you could definitely tell it was the Canucks you were playing when they wore thoseππΌ,I think Philly,Boston and Chicago have the best Unis now.

Rage,
It looks like you like the traditional look and all of those contain black as well. Almost everyone likes the black hawks uniform it seems. I do like red tops with the black pants/shorts. My favorite logo is personally the Avalanche logo and I know I am biased on that. I think an all natural disaster Stanley Cup final would be ok with me. Hurricanes vs Avalanche. The power of wind and water vs the power of snow and gravity.
