This field doesn't justify a tier 2 status for sure. I think the lesson here is the players show up based on where things fit in the schedule more than anything and that has altered some of the fields.
Perhaps we can consider making the tier status more dynamic for regular events next year. If x # of top 50 players are in the field it is tier 3 and if Y is it is tier 2. Just as an example.

I agree this needs to drop down a category in the ranks. It would be great to replace and bump a 3 up to a 2 but if there isn't a good fit, that's okay too and having this a 3 would be my preference too.
