Unfortunately, Ryan is probably just too damn far out of reach...bit the way I tend to finish strong in the last FEDEX playoff tourneys...YOU, are certainly at least in sight.  One thing that is at least in your favor, which has been the case since Day One,and why you have remained towards the top all season - you have a well-balanced team yourself....so should be fun down the stretch. Maybe it will be like that early bike race in the Olympics where the American had the lead...until all three of the trio tailing her went ahead at the end...yeah, that scenario. |

I said YOU were likely just too far ahead, with so little time left ( although not conceding yet)...was talking more to Matt. THAT said...yes, you do...but there will be less and less guys with each tourney. I should as usual, make some moves forward...but as you will also be getting some points...the sands in the hourglass are few and slipping downwards, swiftly. . I am at a point where I need ultimate points each week. This week...I scored well, had the MOST points...almost 500 - BUT...had I subbed Pieters in for Colsaerts, instead of An, that would have resulted in about 57 extra points Zi think, and of course, had Stenson finished first instead of second, that would be 80 more. Yes, relatively small things...but often that is what makes differences in the end. Those two small differences would have netted me almost 140 more points. That isn't the first time that has happened this year to me...has been often, which is why, although getting strong results in most of the bigger events that I strive to do well in, I often have been wincing a wee bit, knowing there were some points lost down the stretch that Sunday. With you, Ryan...your knack to GAIN points...even on weeks where your top guys don't perform and/or it looks like you are short some week...has been one of those small, yet crucial differences. It usually isn't some major, extraordinary difference...just a few small things here and there. Thing is now...I have but five tourneys left...I need ultimate points in the FedEx event...not just the top Score for the week...but as close to the most Zi can, if to be anywhere with a chance...AND you have to score fairly low. Jason or Henrik winning is minimized if DJ finishes in the Top 5 as well. |
