In case anyone hadn't heard the Greenbrier classic has been cancelled by the PGA Tour due to the devastating flooding in West Virginia. We need to decide if we are going to offer an alternate or just stand pat. These are the options that I can think of but please feel free to add a suggestion of your own.
1) Don't put a tourney in place of the Greenbrier. Just have no tourney and no lineup fees or replacement fees. Basically we skip the event with no replacement idea to be put into effect.
2) Add the Baracuda Championship as an official league event and run it concurrently with the Bridgestone classic this Thursday - Sunday. If we did this we would have two different events running in the same week. Each event would have a 5 golfer starting lineup with an alternate and the starting lineup and replacement fees would be the same but would be in effect for both tourney's on the same week. The Baracuda would be counted as a tier 3 event. So in other words 10 golfers could be started in the same week with the 2 events. Each tourney would be allowed up to 3 subs. If we chose this option I would allow everyone two free agent additions to everyone's rosters for one week only due the the roster challenges this may create in trying to fill out 2 starting lineups for the same week. These additions would have to be golfers that are in the field for the Baracuda Championship since that would be the unexpected tourney for the week This golfers would act as a 17th and 18th golfer to a roster for one week only. At the end of the tournament the same players that were added on a roster would automatically be dropped after the tourney. If anyone is at less than 16 right now that team would be able to add two golfers but would have to drop those golfers after the tourament is over.
3) Same exact senario as option #2 but instead of having this happen this week we would run concurrent tourney's during the British Open with the second tourney being the Barbosal Championship on the week of July 14 - 17. The Barbosal would also be scored as a tier 3 event. Two free players can be added that are in the field for the Barbosal and would then automatically be dropped after the tourney.
