I think for this tournament they just dropped a golf ball from space and where ever it landed is where they were gonna build this golf course and Valero is where it landed. A wasteland no doubt. The next two tourneys are played at courses which both are TPC courses. How this is, I do not know, because both certainly are never going to be confused for that other TPC course we all know and admire. While the John Deere might contend for most INSIGNIFICANT tournament of the year,the course while not very challenging, is not a dump. The Valero clubhouse looks majestic at times, especially coming home the last couple holes...but the course and tournament itself often is very painful to look at. If you do not have enough eyesores this coming week, you can look forward to a second helping of woe at the TPC New Orleans the following week for the Zurich "Classic". Consider these two weeks a brief intermission to the busy season, before the Wells Fargo gets us back on track, followed by the REAL TPC event. So.. go take a piss,and restock the drinks, and Vietnamese spring roll tray.  |

Well for Grace there must be something wrong with him. Just as he is rounding into form he has to play this course. That will probably scar him for quite some time. I don't know if you can expect much out of him after this week. |
