First for my team: Love how Day is playing...and very glad Casey WD, giving Jason some rest. After back scare...tough SOB, like after that U.S.Open with vertigo. Sends matcH interesting, but give slight edge...again, glad he had some extra rest. An...I am really liking his play, this guy makes A LOT, of sweet shots, predicted he could be a Wild Card here, like his play. Kirk, already commented how it is nice to see him coming back into his original form. Beating Grace is no small feat...Grace not only has proven himself overall, but he is a VERY good match play guy, also, as proven by his play in Presidents Cup, as well as his other two matches this week. Kirk is playing much like his pre-injury self when he was a Top 20 player. Not quite there, but seems about 90 percent there. Kizzire...when Eric asked us to pick our choices as to where we drafted, I picked 10th...because I wanted to have first pick for the snake part of the draft, after the auction part. I had the guy I planned on taking, as well...and did --- Kizzire. He already has been very solid, but this result has already validated my drafting him, even if he were to be in a serious blimp accident tonight, and miss the rest of the year. He and Smiley Kaufman were my two rookies I nabbed this year...and both have been very impressive overall. Honorable mentions... Dubuisson showed some spark...match play gets him a bit riled up, he might even be TOO laid back sometimes...but he wants back on Ryder Cup, think he is in right direction...even that Jordan match...you see those putts he was sinking? He is such a joy to waTch when he is on his game. Liked what I saw from Pieters at times as well. As for others.... Jordan looks good ...Rory has been extremely lucky...but sometimes that can be a jump start. His match with Zach Johnson who has thus far been ridiculous, will be very interesting. I think Jordan-Oostey is one to watch... Oostey is actually who I picked to win this thing in that bracket game on Pgatour.com. Jordan is very good, and does have a home course advantage...he has played well...but I wouldn't sat stellar. Oostey match should make him sweat some....great matchup, possibly. Reed has played very well thus far...but hopefully someone will shut Fat face up. Kuchar is so good at match play...

The golfers on my team as horrid as they typically are at match play when they take the course are only allowed a putter, one long iron, a driver, a fairway wood and a sand wedge. Luckily they are also allowed 5 different ball retrievers of different shapes and sizes. My golfers use those clubs the most.
Kjeldsen needs to be run over by a bull dozer just like Warren and Illonen. As I am properly named "Team Win or Die" and those guys are dead to me. What can I say for Van Zyl though. He played pretty well and his win over Horschel allowed Brooks Koepka with a loss today (friday) to still advance to the playoffs. Now that is what I call a team player. Just having that guy on my roster and riding the bench could bring me the spark I need for the rest of the season.
So my top 2 guys are finally showing some pulse in Koepka and Spieth. Maybe this kind of a tourney is just what Spieth needs to ramp up his game. It's interesting how the brackets played out because some brackets have mostly poorly seeded players and some like Spieth is in a tough bracket where all the better golfers advanced to where they are at. I would absolutely love to have a final four player but maybe that is asking too much. For starting only 4 I am extremely happy to have 2 of my golfers advance when only a quarter of the golfers in the field get to move on.

My wife thinks Day is a big pansy. LOL She made some comment, after hearing them talk about his back, about how it must have been a really serious injury to almost not play and then go on to play as well as he did. This was Sunday morning as we were waiting ot leave for my in-laws. She even remembered him and his Vertigo last year and how that was all the TV could talk about, yet there he was playing at a higher level than almost anyone.
The Vertigo I get. But, a back injury that almost keeps you from playing at all but then miraculously is well enough to play how many more rounds of golf? That one was a stretch for me.

Maybe your wife should watch Feherty tonight. Seriously, though...what this guy has been through...he truly is a grinder in many ways. He has had back issues his whole life, pretty much. Frankly, I hope he sits in a hot tub for the next three days before flying out to GA.

Eric...not seeing Moore on your team, is even freaking ME out...go haggle for him. I have no ammo that nets Moore. Spieth and Koepka are at a higher level (althought both underachieving) and everyone else on my team sucks and isn't worth Moore. I can't get Moore if I have no tradable assets. In my genious going after Spieth and Koepka I have done nothing to improve my top tier golfers but signifcantly sacrificed the rest of my team. Doesn't matter what strategy I use because these sh*t heads never perform. I might as well have Ryan Moore and Keegan Bradley be my top 2 guys because I wouldn't be any worse for wear and I would at least finish middle of the pack. I have now gone 45 straight tourney's without having one of my golfers win a tourney.

I know it must be frustrating...but the season...the REAL season is just starting. Believe me...I am not just trying to lift your spirits; what you mentioned what I did the last two weeks in the email...I have done similar every year...I never do a whole lot during the West Coast swing. I usually wait for Florida and Match Play to truly catapult me into the majors and bulk of the season. Spieth will pay off for you, and Koepka should as well. As for the rest...you never know what combinations...maybe even involving a third ( or fourth) team can do something...all of us, can tweak, or feel we can improve somewhere. Likewise, we all have players we personally like. Nothing is set in stone ( save a couple players). Little things can do much...is likely a minor move...but I like the Vijay move...you have added a player, and one who honestly could at least get you some points. It is why even with my type of majors-oriented rosters, I have still added Langer in the past...others have added Couples...hell, even a couple amateurs I wouldn't balk at.
