With just how must wind is on each day...hard to know just how much of a factor that will be. Leishman should love this. Oostey and Grace will be interesting to watch....Texas/Okie guys might have some edge to this type of terrain and wind...as could the Aussies and South Africans. As usual...I think there are a few who could surprise, because if they bomb on a hole...it is just one down...not like in stroke play where one could eagle, other double bogey, and they spend the whole round playing catchup. That element helps a few of the aggressive types.

One thing about match play that always seems to hold true is that it is predictably unpredictable. Sure some guys may tend to be better in this format than others but the bottom line is that it's such a crap shoot and past trends don't always play out in this format. It truly is anyone's guess who will win each group. Trying to predict what will happen is very difficult to nail down. One thing that does seem to trend is that once the tourney gets into the quarter-finals or semi-finals it seems like the better overall golfer tends to have an advantage.
Right now Justin Rose is up 1 with 1 to play against Gomez, assuming Rose wins here is how things have panned out.
The favorites have won 17 The underdogs have won 9 Matches halved 6
That is 15 matches either halved or won by the underdog.
I gotta hand it to Van Zyl. He actually tied Willett. If he manages to finish 2nd or better in his group I am gonna do the best I can to hold a roster spot for him. If Kjeldsen finishes 4th I am gonna do the best I can to wipe my hands clean of him depending on how bad I would need him for big events.

With the Masters just around the corner, you might want to hold onto your Danes there at least for a couple more weeks...he will be playing the event. Van Zyl is playing for a lot here. There are rankings points in this thing, and he is close...the more he does here the more he likely gains enough to qualify for Augusta. Told you he was a firey one. Speaking of Danes...I would hate seeing Thorbjorn's hotel room, after his match yesterday...talk about Rory getting a gift....wow.

One other thing...besides the obvious things like Lefty's resurgence, nice seeing Kirk being close to "back",again. Nice tourney last week, and blistered the course yesterday. Grace played well...Kirk had like six birdies and an eagle, though. Most of that big Georgia Bulldogs group we are inundated with ( not Bubba..he was earlier)... are talented but I think are a bit overrated. They show up looking great here or there, then disappear a good while. The way some talk about English, you would think that he has already won two majors, and that he also is a porn star. Henley currently has his face on milk cartons, right next to Todd's. Anyway, Kirk was always the guy from that prestigious group, whom I thought was the most genuinely talented...so good to see him rounding back into form.
