When you go to to ESPN...Harig is the sage/guy of wisdom. Sober is pretty knowledgeable as well. Collins is whom you read about meetings in clubhouses, and little human interest stories....NOT in depth knowledge or even insights or opinions. When asking all of the ESPN analysts about Hideki, and where he is, and in relation to the "Fab Four", most including Harig and Sobel responded somewhere in the range you would expect, i.e. -- that Hideki is not where those four are currently, but is likely in that next group, and perhaps soon he will be amongst them if things continue to progress as they have over the past couple years, etc. Collins of course has to do his own thing to be different and act as if he knows what he is talking about....which he doesn't. ( Will continue in next message).

Who exactly is the Fab 4. I consider it a big 3 of McIlroy, Day and Spieth. Who am I missing in that group. My next tier would be Bubba, DJ, Fowler with Rose and Matsuyama being fringe players to that tier. To get into the Fab 4 I would think a golfer would need to win a major before being considered in that company so maybe that would be Rose or Watson.

Well...they (and many others)..are having the Big Three...and sort of having Fowler as the #4 (maybe he is the "Ringo" to their John, Paul, and George, Eric). Then the question many question are who are the "next group" on the fringe behind those guys. Like your names...most would say Bubba,DJ,Stenson, Rose, etc. When they focus on the "young 20-somethings" that are similar to those four...thus the focus not as much on guys like Stenson, Rose, DJ, Bubba, etc. (although they certainly are not "old")....but on the "young guns"... this is where you get guys like Matsuyama, Reed...and so forth. For instance, Miller was discussing how possibly Matsuyama could become a "fifth" to that group within a year or two. Much of this stems around how golf with this group of strong young players is in a great direction, and much is anticipated for many years to come with these guys dueling. ANYWAY... you can go to both PGATOUR.com and ESPN to read some very good info about Matsuyama and his progress...and strong analysis...and ND also Collins trying to be different...and ND ND proving why in the fantasy contests involving all the analysts why he usually is about three time zones behind Harig and almost everyone else. I don't think he likes how he cannot do his little pal/buddy crap with Hideki in the clubhouse like he tries doing with other headliners.
