Ok so we are off to a new season. I just have a problem starting with a tourney named "Career Builder Challenge". I am sorry but that is a very dumb name for a golf tournament. Certainly one of the worst of the entire season. I think even the Waste Management Phoenix Open bothers me less than this does. So with that said lets get on with the power rankings
1) Patrick Reed - The dough boy leads off as Bolton's favorite. I know he can be good but the field must be weak for this 525 pound guy to be the favorite.
2) Zach Johnson - Zach only plays well at a majors or at the John Deere Classic. This tourney isn't important enough for him to be this high.
3) Bill Haas - Will the president's cup vault his career. Hard to fault this ranking.
4) Ryan Palmer - I think too high for this guy.
5) David Lingmerth - he is ok but this just has to be a very weak field. This guy should never be ranked top 5 in any ranking unless it is the Useless.Com Open
6) Matt Kuchar - sorry but he should be above 4 and 5 no matter how well or bad he is playing
7) Jason Dufner - I am not sure I am ready to put him this high just yet. He seems to be on a career upswing.
8) Matt Jones - ho hum
9) Webb Simpson - I don't know if he would be ranked this high in the Career Ender Challenge.
10) Jamie Lovemark - I don't even have a comment for this ranking.
11) Jason Bohn - The Bohner is probably ranked about right but should be ahead of at least 5 ahead of him
12) Charley Hoffman - ranked too low
13) Brendan Steele - see Charley Hoffman
14) Zac Blair - good golfer and deserving of this spot
15) Si Woo Kim - who knows about this one but I will take it
Player that deserve mention
Graham DeLaet - He obviously can't hold Lovemark's jock - LOL
Luke Donald - It's hard to believe he was #1 in the world. Too bad he didn't win a major during his professional window.
Tony Finau - Hate to say this since someone owns him but he is the most over rated golfer since Keegan Bradley and alot of people will totally disagree with me.
Charles Howell III - He should definitely be ahead of some of those ranked.
Bill Horschel - wow how the mighty have fallen for him to not be ranked at this tourney
Kaufman and Kazzire - a pair of Josh's golfers that I like and would take a chance on them over Lingmerth
Jahiri - makes a strong case as well
Malnati - like his upside better than some
B Martin - really, not ranked
Na - I guess Na is right since he didn't get a Yes in the rankings
Mickelson - I think he is about done in his career
Streb - another ridiculous omission
My top 5
1) Ben Martin
2) Patrick Reed
3) Robert Streb
4) Brendan Steele
5) Kevin Na
