Well, I certainly didn't think I'd finish in the bottom 1/3 again. Previous yrs, had a strategy of drafting many solid middle type guys, and made many trades to tweak my roster. This yr, was much more aggressive in the draft, and drafted 3 in the top 22 (Watson, Walker, Haas) and 4 in the top 25 (Woodland). And made no trade that didn't have me a clear winner, in the trade. (So....Made no trades). Finished much the same, as previous yrs. Actually thought I was pretty solid in the middle of my lineup with Kokrak, Harman, and Jacobson. Regrets: Not going after Dustin Johnson and Paul Casey harder. Had hunches on both, and let Ryan get them too cheaply. Thought I had some solid players for the majors, but my roster totally sucked for the majors. I think I was shut out in one, and next to nothing in another. Should have known, when Bubba didn't do anything in this yrs Masters. Omen. Positives: Only one, and it's minor. My team looked nothing like my teams from yrs past, and I'll be unpredictable in future yrs/drafts. Negatives: Every strategy I try, ends the same in the standings. Team MVP: Bubba... sad on a down yr Honorable mention: Harman Team Chop: Kokrak... pre-season sleeper that stayed asleep Honorable mention: Woodland Ya'll have any season-ending kvetches?

First I would like to say I had a blast this year...definitely my favorite fantasy league. Being new I didn't really know what to expect nor did I have a draft strategy. Just kinda showed up on game day and did my best..my only goal was to not take last! Hopefully I can build upon the knowledge I gained this year and contend next season. Regrets: Slightly overpaying for Tiger. With that mistake I never really had a true number one golfer...or even a number two golfer. That definitely hurt me in the bigger tournaments. Positives: JB at $5 turned out to be a great deal. Danny Lee learned how to play golf. I learned who Tony Finau was. Getting rid of Kaymer. Negatives: Tiger. Koepka was a disappointment down the stretch. Team MVP: Tough one...have to go with Danny Lee....Thanks CHAMP Team Trash: Dufdaddy (took a chance on him..never really panned out) HM: Tony Finau Overall I feel like I had a semi respectable rookie season..but definitely cant wait for next year! GO TIGER!

I mentioned some of my frustrations in my e-mail message but this is a very telling sign for my team. I draft players that are hot at the beginning of the year but many of them simply cannot sustain their momentum throughout the year. I drafted 4 players that won an event prior to the fantasy golf season (starting in October of 2014) and none of those 4 players could get another win for the entire season thereafter. I picked up James Hahn the tourney that he ended up winning prior to him winning but I was unable to use him in that tourney. Keegan Bradley ended up winning a charity classic event that is on the tour schedule but doesn't count as an official event. Scott Piercy won the Barbosal Championship the same week as the British Open and is considered as an official event but we don't count it towards our fantasy league. So that makes 7 of my players that won on tour this year but none of the wins counted in our fantasy golf season. That is so adsurd and unbelievable but only something like that could happen to my fantasy team. I had at least one other year that I have played winning zippo events for the whole year. That is why it has been a frustrating season.

You had a very respectable newb season, EP. Glad you're in the league! @ GI&RI, I feel a bit of your pain on the 'wins before it counts'. Haas won the event just before the first event of the season.... which in the past would be our season-opener 'free bonus' tourney. Some day the Golf Gods will smile upon us.

And it may be time to drop ol Erns. Holy crap.... how can you miss a 2 footer, a foot wide?

I think you are being very generous to Ernie there. That looked closer to a foot and Ernie just had a lapse of concentration there. I have left a putt less than a foot short before but for a pro it's a little more embarrassing.

Josh is already planning his auction for next year. The only question will be how much money will he have left to spend after buying Day for the rest of his Asian, European and Australian roster. It's not a question of "if".
