www.presidentscup.com/news/2015/09/08/live-blog--presidents-cup-captains--picks.htmlThe presidents Cup teams were finalized and what surprises me is that Brooks Koepka was left off the team in favor of captains picks Phil Mickelson and Bill Haas. I can somewhat understand Mickelson being one of the picks especially since the team members really wanted him on the team but why Bill Haas over Koepka. Hass has not had a great year and Koepka's play has really come on later in the year. The U.S. team rarely if ever loses to the internationals but I think Bill Haas's play this year in the event should be fairly scrutinized.

I agree that Koepka belonged on the team. I would take his power and talent over Bill and Phil. The only reason I am ok with Phil being on the team his the team wanted him on it. Otherwise it is just a lifetime achievement award. His play is not close to being good enough at this point.

Koepka Schmoepka. Haas had the next best points to make the team. The argument should be on Phil. JB Holmes should have had Phil's spot. JB ranked above Phil in President's Cup points, and ranks above Phil in OWGR. Phil sucks ass, a has been. He'll be awesome on the Champions Tour, tho. Maybe.

The United States showed some choking tendencies as they typically show in the Ryder Cup but the 15 footer made by Chris Kirk and the 3 footer missed by Lahiri turned the tide in favor of the U.S. Bill Haas finished the deal on the 18th as my very own Sang-Moon Bae chunked his chip shot on the last hole. Spieth and Day the top players of their teams choked on Sunday in South Korea. Kind of the forgotten about major winning Zach Johnson was the only major winner to win his match on Sunday. The U.S. was in firm control when the final match teed off but the internationals fought back and forced the U.S. to win the last match to clinch the Cup. Looks like Mickelson and Haas earned their keep this year. I don't know about Haas prior to Sunday but Mickelson had a good weekend. Kind of fun to watch some late night golf on a Saturday Night. The internationals have a very good top 4 or 5 but I think their depth is what hurts them in these events. As successful as they have been the Euros didn't have a single major winner this year so I guess it's fitting that they aren't playing this year. Why is it that the internationals can't play Europe in some kind of a match play competition. I guess everything revolves around America.
Congradulations to the good old U. S. of A.
