Humana Challenge - Subs

I don't think my explanation in the rules doc was great and needs some revision before next year. In my explanation I was clear in the first sentence (hehe) that the sub must happen before the first tee shot of the next round after cut down day. Which in this case will be after round 3 and prior to round 4. In previous seasons if we had delays and the cut down day moved into the next day we allowed subs after play that day. This season the subs must happen prior to the start of the next round even if its mid day start. That was the only change this season. Here is how the rule should read.



Golfer Substitution Rule: Each week on cut down day (whichever day that is, usually Friday) each team is allowed the opportunity to bench one of their active golfers for one of their reserve golfers if they choose. This is limited to one per week. Teams will be able to designate this switch as early as they would like during a tourney but it must be announced prior to the first tee shot of the next round after cut down day. This is usually round 3 but sometimes round 4 Once a switch is posted on the forum that switch becomes final and official at the beginning of the round. If you submit an early substitution but want to change the player being subbed in or out that can be done up until the first tee shot of the next round of play. The cost for each substitute is $2 per instance. If the cut does not occur on the normal schedule the beginning of the following round (usually round 3)is still the official cutoff time to submit a sub. The forum time stamps will be used to determine if a sub was submitted in time. If a tourney does not have an official cut this league will still allows subs to take place after 2 rounds of play. For match play it would be after the 2nd round as well.
