I was going to post this question to the group today actually. The way the first 3 Adds work is you are allowed to "add" 1 more golfer each week after the first tee shots on Thursday. So that would mean we can add our first golfer on Thursday of the Humana. I would like to propose to the group that we allow the first add to occur after the first tee shots of the Sony this week. That will allow everyone to add 1 golfer prior to the first tournament.
Is everyone ok with that?
Thanks,
-Aaron

Will we know the field for the following week by then though? I'm okay with waiting as well if that is what hte rule states. Eitehr way is fine with me.

I'm ok either way. How will the order be determined - first come first served?

Isn't the Sony Open, here this week our first tournament? If I remember correctly, we played this last year and scored like a normal Tier 3 tournament BUT we weren't charged a $2.00 Starting Lineup or anything for subs.
As far as adding before, I agree with the order being the thing that we need to get figured out. We can do first serve or reverse would be the most fair way IMO but whatever you all think.
Also, just to clarify for new members, this isn't a "free" add as it costs $5.00 BUT you don't have to drop anyone.

Agreed, the order is important as some league members might be busy when we start adding. Perhaps we could choose alphabetically based on last names.

Or, based on last years results? Just let the newbies take the spots of the people they are replacing?

Ok, we have not done priority status on Add's and Drops before but I like the idea. I just want to note it is only for the first 3 new Adds!. Once we get passed the add period all future add/drops are first come first serve. If we do this I propose we use the snake format.
First Add Sony weekend (Jill down to Chump) 2nd Add Humana weekend (Chump down to Jill) 3rd Add Waste Mgmt weekend (Jill down to Chump)
Thur - Sun would be the waiver period. So you have 4 days to add a golfer before you lose your spot.
Will this work for everyone? Please note you do NOT have to pick someone up if you don't want to. It is optional to be short roster spots if you so desire.
Thanks,
-Aaron
PS: We are NOT starting the season officially until the Humana. No lineups/points for Sony. Just wanted to clarify that.
