www.pgatour.com/tournaments/zurich-classic-of-new-orleans/field.htmlThis is a team event as I believe they started last year here. Since there are 50 scoring slots the top 25 finishing pairs will earn points. The winning team will share points for 1st and 2nd. So 175 + 120 = 295 / 2 = 147.5. Both golfers would than earn 148 points. Another example is if there was a 4 team tie for 14th. Since there would be 8 golfers involved they would share scoring slots 27th thru 34th. That would equate to 24+23+22+21+20+19+18+17 = 164 / 8 = 20.5. Each of those 8 golfers would score 21 points. Each golfer is started separately even though they will be paired with a team mate. If someone has golfers that happen to be paired with another golfer on a particular fantasy team each team would be allowed to start just one of them or they could elect to start both. If the team started both if would count as 2 golfers in the starting lineup. An example would be Rich's team. He has Reavie and Glover on his team and they just happened to be paired together. He can start either or both. For subs each golfers is subbed individually as well. It is a little confusing but not extremely confusing. Each golfer is still an individual in this format for subbing and scoring. My lineup Jordan Spieth Tommy Fleetwood Peter Uihlein Brandt Snedeker Brendan Steele Alternate: Smylie Kaufman Bench Andrew Landry Branden Harkins Sung Kang Blayne Barber

To clarify the scoring. The way you have it listed the winning team in First place would be first and second. So, the winning team in 2nd place will be sharing points for 3rd and 4th? 3rd place in the tournament would actually get points for 5th and 6th place? ? Would it be easier if first place team each player got 175? I guess there will either be very few points earned because everything is downgraded or would it make it more fair if each player got the points based on the place they earn? Everything is severely downgraded if you get a top 10 but end up getting the points for 19th and 20th place.

Everything is severely downgraded if you get a top 10 but end up getting the points for 19th and 20th place. That is just how it works. If we gave the points for both players that finish in a particular spot we would be rewarding double points for this tourney and its value would than be the same as a major. There are only enough points for 50 golfers in each tourney and that means the top 25 placing teams since each place represents 2 golfers.
