www.pgatour.com/rio-2016-olympics/olympic-standings.htmlwww.pgatour.com/tournaments/john-deere-classic/field.htmlHere we go as this is our first split tournament in our league history. Lineups can consist of players from either the Olympic Golf Competition or the John Deere Classic. The Olympic Competition will be scored as a tier 2 event like any other tier 2 event would be scored. The John Deere Classic is a tier 3 event and will be scored as such. When setting your lineups you can start any combination of players from either event but the starting lineup still consists of 5 starters and 1 alternate from both events collectively. When you sub for this event you can sub out a player from an event and sub in a player into that slot regardless of which tourney they are in. Subs don't have to be for the same event for the outgoing and incoming golfer. When submitting a lineup please indicate in some fashion which event each starter is playing in to make it easier for me. My starters Scott Hend - Olympics Soren Kjeldsen - Olympics Shingo Katayama - Olympics Gregory Bourdy - Olympics Ryan Moore - John Deere Alternate: Kevin Na - John Deere Bench: All John Deere - Keegan Bradley, Morgan Hoffman, John Huh, Hudson Swafford

I don't understand how the scoring goes for the Olympics guys?
Isn't the format, two man teams, by country? Is there an individual stroke play event, also? Sorry, haven't looked at the format.

I'm pretty sure the format is the same as any other week on the PGA tour. It's just a 72 hole stroke play competition...every man for himself.

Kuch & I just a couple slow Georgia boys. What the hell, it's a hunnert degrees here with a 90% humdidity.... we're allowed some leeway. What little I heard about the Olympic golf... I got: Olympics -- Kuch, Kaymer, DeLaet JDC-- I got Cabrera, Goosen, Harman, Kelly, and Lovemark Gimme starters:

I'm disappointed Spieth is not playing the JDC, this year. That event that 'launched' him. Thought it was very cool when he played it, last year. I guess he's too 'big time' for the event now. Disappointing. www.pgatour.com/rio-2016-olympics/olympic-standings.htmlwww.pgatour.com/tournaments/john-deere-classic/field.htmlHere we go as this is our first split tournament in our league history. So subs are due before the start of round 3 of the olympics? I believe timing wise that round will start before John Deer. Can you confirm? Subs are due by the time of the tourney that the sub is either put in for or taken out from. The only way the subs won't be due by the first tee time of the first event (which I assume is the olympics) is if both golfers being subbed in and out are from the second tourney (probably JDC) to have their first tee time of the third round. It would be much easier to just have all subs in by the first tee time of the earlier event that way there will be no controversy. If one event happens not to finish on friday then we could have a senario where one event requires subs by first tee time on Saturday and the other event by the first tee time Sunday.

Just another clarification. Assuming the Olympics has the earlier tee time on Saturday, once a sub is submitted and the deadline passes of the tourney that either golfer is used for the sub in or out for that transaction becomes locked in. For this week only please submit you subs one for one.
For example
Smith in for Anderson Peterson in for Henderson
Don't submit as follows
Smith and Peterson in for Anderson and Henderson. Don't take any chances how subs can be interpreted. If you do submit using the later senario all 4 golfers would be locked into their sub status as soon as the first deadline for the first tourney passes provided that just one golfer in the first tourney is included. I know I am making this a bit more complicated than it may need to be but I want everyone to cover their bases.
