Yes...he IS my current favorite player (following guys like Jack, Seve, etc.) but I do not make bold statements, just be.cause a guy or team is my personal favorite--- I always try to be realistic in my evaluations of players/teams. I am giddy about this result...because I already held him very high...he just needed his day...and now he has it...a major...and like I said earlier in a different thread, sharing views with Eric... You will have them ranked Top Three in the world...and if you are going to talk of Rory and Jordan...well Jason is right there with them. Like those two...especially when you see him totally healthy....he is as good as any...no real weaknesses, and you would not be surprised if he were to win a few more majors. Like the other two...class act, as well. Only one to finish -20 in a major...new record. Wtg, Jason...keep the foot down... The "duo" is a trio...and really Rose and a couple others are right up there close...and so many young up and comers like Hideki and Koepka...and tons more. This is great time for golf...and it doesn't NEED Tiger.

Thanks...I already figured he will be likely at least 100 next year...but I am willing to pay more....he's my horse...you all can battle for Rory and Jordan...wouldn't trade Jason for either.

Just the beginning for Jason Day. He has had his share of bad luck over recent years with injuries and close calls. Golf is in crazy good hands right now. I fully expect Day, Rory, and Jordan to battle it out for years to come. I also expect little Rickie to get in that conversation as well.
Good stuff.

Fowler won The Players...he is right there as well....as is him being firmly on your roster for years to come, the way Day will be to mine...lol.

Is it fair to rank the world's best golfers as follows
1) Spieth 2) Day 3) McIlroy
The argument can be made that McIlroy has slipped to #3. Based on this year alone he is at best #3. Day has been remarkable since he lost the British in heartbreaking fashion. He won in Canada and won the PGA. What more could he really have done since. Day kept it together very well during the final round. There was a time or two that he could have wilted but at any sign of a tense moment he came through and kept the rest of the field at arms distance.

I will start the bidding for Day at $120! lol j/k............or am I? I'm not sure you can put Day above Rory in the rankings based on golf alone. Easy to do right after a win. If you add in the 60 days out with injury, yes. But, Rory has had some pretty good showings but has just had that issue with the putter going south on him periodically. I think it would be awesome if those 3 all stay at the top though. Will be interesting to see how Rory reacts to some of this. No matter what, that was an impressive performance by Day.

Well..injuries/illnesses aside...The next 15-20 years should be a blast watching these three...and several others battle things out at times.

Next year Spieth, Day and McIlroy should all go for high prices. The biggest question will all three go over the century mark? Actually this year no player went for over $100 but my feeling is that will change next year. This year 5 players went for $80 and over. Next year it will likely be at least that many.
Players that could or should go for over $80
Spieth Day McIlroy Watson Rose Dustin Johnson Fowler
Players that went for $80 but might drop below next year
Woods - will anyone pay over $40 for him Scott

The thing that balances things a little, is that we each can only have seven players in the auction part of the draft. Thus, due to limited slots as well as only so much funds, there will be quality and depth after the early rush, and players going at bargain prices due to that.

Jason Day is making a legitimate run at player of the year. Man is he on a run right now.

It was always there...just nice the results are coming to fruition now. Isn't just winning, but just is spot on. Happy for him, has worked too hard, determination...deserves the payoff. Golf is in a great place now.

If you go back...you will see I actually said Day would win the PGA Championship AND the FedEx Cup...before the start of the PGA Championship...but even I didn't see what he is doing now...good grief. Add #1 in the world as well...YEAH! . .Oh, even though he will now cost me half of what is in Fort Knox for the next draft...he still will be on my roster come January.
